J. J. Zanazzi

I am a theoretical astrophysicist, who's research investigates the ways in which planets form.  My research lies at the intersection of orbital and fluid dynamics.  My work seeks to understand the extraordinary diversity of exoplanetary system architectures we observe.  I have also worked on the dynamics of stellar binaries, and high-energy astrophysics.  For more information, see my research page.

I am a 51 Pegasi b Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California Berkeley, working with Eugene Chiang.  Before I arrived at Berkeley, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics at the University of Toronto.  I received my PhD from Cornell University, under the supervision of Dong Lai.
